MRT BREAKTHROUGH IN JAKARTA

BACKGROUND

The Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (Jakarta MRT) is a rapid transit system in Jakarta, the capital city of  Indonesia . The Jakarta MRT is the first subway or underground railway system in Indonesia. The system is operated by PT MRT Jakarta, a municipally owned corporation  of the city of  Jakarta . Phase I of the project ( Lebak Bulus  to Bundaran HI) was officially opened on March 24, 2019. The Jakarta MRT project begins with the construction of a Phase I MRT line of ± 16 kilometers from Lebak Bulus Terminal to the Indonesia Hotel Roundabout which has 13 stations following 1 Depo. To minimize the impact of Phase I physical development, in addition to cooperating with traffic management consultants, PT MRT Jakarta also has an Environmental Impact Analysis. Phase I operations will begin in 2019.

STATION AND FACILITIES

Part of the construction of the Jakarta MRT line is an elevated structure that extends ± 10 km; from Lebak Bulus to Sisingamangaraja. From this route, there are 7 stations :

2.    Fatmawati station
3.    Cipete Raya Station
4.    Haji Nawi Station
5.    Blok A Station
6.    Blok M Station
7.    ASESAN Station
8.    Senayan Station
9.    Istora Mandiri Station
10.  Bendungan Hilir Station
11.  Setiabudi Astra Station
12.  Dukuh Atas BNI Station
13.  Bundaran Hotel Indonesia Station

Public responses after "Tasting" the Jakarta MRT
- Some people still consider ticket prices, especially for workers, there are some who choose to use motorcycle, there are also those who choose to use MRT jakarta.

- Needs to improve services, one of them was the officer at the station. lack of notice or announcement to the public is prohibited from bringing food and drinks in the station area. Jakarta MRT does provide a little bit trash can to make it look clean, but there are no notice boards so that people know and there are still many people who are carelessly eating on the outskirts of the MRT area.


- Places of worship at MRT stations are small.


-Luxurious station design.


-More efficient time using MRT.

-Many routes.

-There are also various kinds of facilities.
